National Kirtan Performer Shree Charudatta Govindswami Aphale :

After completing B.A. with Marathi as the principal subject, Mr. Aphale chose Music as the main subject for M.A. He started acting in the Marathi 'Sangit Nataks'(musical plays) right from his schooldays. He has acted in several plays like 'Katyar Kaljat Ghusali', 'Shakuntal', 'Saubhadra', 'Sanshay Kallol', 'Matsyagandha', 'Lavani Bhalali Abhangala', 'Atun Kirtan Atun Tamasha', 'Ithe Oshalala Mrutyu', 'To Mi Navhech', etc. For his dedicated service to Marathi theatre, he has been honoured with many awards like Patankar award of Pune Marathi Granthalay, Gold Medal of Goa Mashel group, Paluskar award of Akhil Bharatiya Natya Parishad, Pune Ki Asha award 2002 and Dinanath Mangeshkar award 2003 received at the hands of honourable chief minister of Maharashtra. Mr. Aphale has ably carried forward his family's tradition of Kirtan (a form of narration which combines spiritual and social messages with music). He has performed more than 3000 kirtans in 20 years. His kirtan performances have taken place not only in Maharashtra , but also in other states and even in U.S.A., Canada and Australia. He has also performed on several T.V. channels. Besides all these activities, Mr. Charudatta Aphale also finds time to educate young students about historic tales and especially anecdotes from the lives of Marathi Saints.

Dr. Mohan Balwant Bande:

M.Sc., Ph.D. (Botany) F.Pb.S. has worked as scientist at the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany from 1972 to 1993. In 1993 Dr. Bande opted for voluntary Retirement while Serving as Assistant Director at the above Institute. He has published around 50 research papers in Indian & International Journals in the field of Palaebotany.

Principal Shivajirao Bhosale

Mr. Shivajirao Bhosale is a true heir of Maharashtra's rich cultural heritage. He was born at Kaledhon village in Man tehsil of Satara district on 15th July 1927. He attended New English School, Satara, and later S.P. College and Wadia College, Pune. After completing M.A. and LLB, he practised law but soon gave up his practice to pursue his real interests. He joined as a professor of Philosophy at Mudhoji College Phaltan. For several years, he served this college as its capable principal. He was vice chancellor of Marathwada University for three years. He is known as the best orator of Maharashtra. He has developed unique style of Oratory. Many speakers in Maharashtra try to imitate his style. His crisp and witty humour, rhythmic and rhyming words, in fallible fluency and rich diversity of references and topics have made him very popular. From oratory, he diversified into writing. His columns in daily Sakal like 'deep stumbh' (light house) and 'Jagar' (Awakening) won the hearts of readers.

Samarthwrati Sunil Chincholkar

Born at Manmad on 14th March 1951, he completed B. Com. From Baramati Centre with first rank. For three years, he served as a teacher at Walchandnagar. Later he became manager of Samarth Seva Mandal at Sajjangad and editor of Sajjangad magazine and served in this capacity from 1977 to 1988. His 25th book titled 'Sanskarache Moti'( pearls of imbibing good values) became very popular and its first edition was sold out within a year. He has delivered more than 8000 lectures on patriotism, great saints Dnyaneshwar, Ramdas, Tukaram, Kabir, Meera bai, Yogi Arvind, Swami Vivekanand, Shivaji Maharaj, Sambhaji Maharaj, Ramayan, Geeta, Upanishads, Naradbhakti, Dnyaneshwari, Dasbodh. He has received many prestigious awards including Shivasamartha award of Samartha Vyaspeeth, Vasundhara Krutadnayata award of Omkar Trust, Samarth Ramdas award of Ramdas Swami Sansthan. He is closely associated with Ramkrushna Math, Baba Maharaj Samadhi Mandir, Vedavyas Pratishthan

Professor Lachman Hardwani

Professor Lachman Hardwani: After India's partition in 1947, few Hindu families barely escaped from the region now called Pakistan and came to India to seek shelter. Family of Prof. Hardwani came to Ahmadnagar in Maharashtra. Although he was from a trader family he turned to education and soon became a reputed professor at Ahmadnagar College. He was constantly motivated by one thought: "Maharashtra gave me shelter. What can I give back to Maharashtra?" He translated 'Dnyaneshwari', 'Dasbodh'and Saint Tukaram's 'Gatha' into Sindhi and distributed a thousand's copies among his Sindhi brothers. He also translated Ramdas Swami's 'Manache Shlok' and 'Karunashtake' into Sindhi. Professor Hardwani is humility personified. He is very soft spoken and shuns publicity. He repaid Maharashtra's debt in most creative way and created a new bench mark of national integration.

Shree Prasad Joshi

B.A. (Tabla Visharad) a renowned percussionist, He has trained under Ustad Allarkhan and 10 Years under Pandit G.L.Samant.
Prasad has accompanied some great Classical Concerts with Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Shri Ajit Kadkade, Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar, Pandit Vijay Koparkar, Shri Ramdas Kamat,Shri Sanjeev Abhyankar, Mrs.Arti Ankalikar-Tikekar. For Light Music he has accompanied Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Smt Usha Mangeshkar, Shri Suresh Wadkar, Sadhana Sargam, Smt Anuradha Paudwal, Shri Arun Date, Pandit Prabhakar Jog, Miss Bela Shende Etc.
He has performed in over 500 Sangeet Nataks (Musical Drama) like Katyar Kaljat Ghusali, Sangeet Soubhadra, Sangeet Sharada, Sangeet Manapman etc. He has 200 rhythm arrangement to his credit. Recently he has released a musical Album titled "GLIMPSES". In 1996 he has received Maharashtra State Award for Tabla. (Percussionist)

Dr. Jaggdissh Martand Karmalkar

B.A.M.S (BOM) , since 1977 Dr. Karmalkar is working as a independent medical practitioner in Pune. He has been providing medical facilities in remote villages like Velu, Gogalwadi, Loni Kalbhor, Theur. Dr. Karmalkar was appointed as Sanghachalak of Parvati area by R.S.S. and is trustee of several organisations. He has started programmes like “Dnyaneshwari Parayan” for character building of youth. This programme has successfully completed 25 years.
He has published several books including "Jodoniya Dhana Uttam Vyawa (broad interpretation of 100 religious verses by famous Saint Tukaram Maharaj), Samartha Ramdas ani Santa Tukaram." comparative study of thoughts by Samartha Ramdas and Saint Tukaram). In reputed series of lectures 'Vasant Vyakhyanmala', Nasik, he has dealt with topic 'Paramparemagil Vidnyan'. (Scientific basis of traditions) and also delivered speeches and Sermons on subjects like "Dasbodh", "Bhagavadgita", "Importance of Suryanamaskara".

Dr. Vinita Mahajani

Dr. Mahajani received PHD in German Literature from the University of Bombay. She was working as a lecturer in German at Fergusson College Pune.
Festival of India (English) & "Geistesverse" and "Deutsch in Indien" (German) are the books written by Dr. Mahajani. Two collections of Marathi poems, literary translations from German to Marathi and Marathi to German, children stories and several other publications are to her credit.
Dr. Mahajani founded "Colourful India" Cultural Group and presented more than 60 shows in Pune, Germany, Switzerland and Mauritius to depict foreigners the various facets of Indian culture, traditions, languages and arts of India.

Dr. Analpa Paranjpe

Dr. Analpa has background of Child Development, Clinical Psychology and Special Education, She is an effective, dedicated teacher, resource person, a well known senior psychologist, and special educator in Pune.
She is Visiting / Guest Lecturer for Post Graduate Psychology Courses at SP College, Pune and Visiting Faculty for Diploma in School Psychology, JPIP, Pune.
She has worked with Diverse age groups and intellectual capacities (Mensa to Mentally and Physically Challenged). She has assessed, diagnosed and given remedial help to hundreds of children with specific Learning disabilities, Learning difficulties, epilepsy, physical and motor handicap, Intellectual handicaps, She has conducted Several Summer Camps, Training Programmes and workshops for Children, Slum Children, Mensa Students, College level Students, Parents, Psychologists, Educationists, Social Workers, etc.

Shree Shriniwas Rairikar

Shree Shriniwas Rairikar is Masters in Commerce and Personnel Management with Law Degree. He is also the Lead Auditor for ISO 9001.
He is recipient of two Japanese scholarships for studying labour management and HRD concepts. He has travelled to Russia, European Countries, Pakistan, Japan, Singapore & Tunisia on study tours.
He has been working in Maratha Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture for last 26 years in various senior positions and presently working as Senior Director, In charge of HR, Quality and ISO 9001 activities. He is visiting faculty for several Management Institutes. He is an expert in paintings, singing, poetry and Meditation.

Dr.Sushamatai Watve

D.A.S.F, L.M. Rotunda Dublin, M.A. Pune University has worked as an independent medical practitioner in Pune from 1950 to 1984. She has offered her service as honorary medical consultant to number of social organisations.
Sushamatai has written numerous articles for All India Radio, various journals and magazines on women's health, childcare and healthy diet. Her book "kashee Mee? Ashee Mee!" on healthy physical and psychological development of women was first published in 1972. This book is in its 9th edition now.
She had the good fortune to meet Swami Swarupananda of Pawas and Swami Madhavnath of Pune. Her life took a new turn and she started spiritual pursuit under their guidance. In 1984 she retired from medical practise and devoted her life to propagate the message of Swami Madhavnath. She is involved in transcription of his satsang s and discourses and their publications and audio video cassettes.

Dr. Ramchandra Dekhane
B. Sc., M.A., Ph.D.
A scholar of folk-literature and literature by saints of Maharashtra, an orator and a performer of  'Bharud' (a type of performing art with a social & spiritual message).
He has written 37 books, more than 1500 articles and columns in prominent newspapers. Most noteworthy 'Anand Tarang' (Ripples of joy) in daily Loksatta and 'Maher Pandhari' (Pandharpur, my home) in daily Sakal.
He was conferred a Ph.D by University of Pune for his thesis titled 'Philosophy of Bharud Literature. He has performed over 1100 programmes of Bharud and delivered thousands of lectures.
He has received over 100 awards. Most noteworthy : Maharashtra state Cultural Award 2003, Swami Vivekanand Award of the Asian Institute of H.R.D., Ga. Di. Ma. Literary Award, Satyashodhak Samaj Bhooshan Award, Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad Grantha Award, Acharya Atre Foundation's Kalawant Award.
He has presided over various literary conferences ('Sahitya Sammelans') e.g. at Ralegan Siddhi, Kadoli, Saswad and Satara. He also chaired a session in the world Marathi Literary Conference in the U.S.A. in 2009. Presently he is working as a class one P.R.O. with the Pimpari Chinchwad Pradhikaran.
